2024 continues to go well
My plan for some free time in week 9 didn’t work out that way after my Kenya win.
A lot of interviews, photo ops and a short film with the main Dutch broadcaster, it was almost a relief to get back to the calm of the golf course in the Jonsson Workwear Open back in Joburg. I started well enough with two rounds under par but played poorly in R3 & 4 to end T74.
After a quieter week off it was time to head for the Far East, first for the Singapore Classic and then the Hero Indian Open. I played pretty well in Singapore to finish T21, not so well in India where I made a few too many bogeys and ended T31.
Good & bad news
The good news is that after all that I am still 7th in the Race to Dubai rankings.
If I continue to play well I might possibly get an entry to the Open in July but I won’t make the Olympics in any event because of the additional qualifying rules put in place by the Dutch Olympic Committee and the Dutch Golf Federation.
But there is a lot of golf to be played before then!
More after China!
